I have been closely involved
in orphan works legislation since 2005. While serving on
the House Judiciary Committee, I was the lead staffer on
the orphan works issue. I can be seen in the video of
the March 8, 2006 oversight hearing
on orphan works sitting
next to the then Subcommittee Chairman Lamar Smith of
Texas on the left side of your screen.
I am currently an attorney at the law firm of Arent Fox LLP of Washington, DC. I am admitted to
the Virginia and District of Columbia bars as well as
that of the U.S. Supreme Court. In addition to my
regulatory and lobbying practice, my practice area
includes intellectual property generally.
